Innovation. This is the word that will characterizes also the third Edition of the TOP5 Conference in Venice.

The event is aimed to identify, in the era of globalization, the ongoing and future challenges in infectious diseases and to bring current global issues to the attention of institutions.

The following topics will be covered:
- Methodology of clinical research and application of artificial intelligence to healthcare.
- Antimicrobial resistant microrganisms and optimal use of new available antibiotics.
- HIV treatment and prophylaxis. How to implement tailored therapeutic approaches.
- Emerging and re-emerging viral infections. New approaches for immunization and prevention of communicable infectious diseases.
- Fungal infections. New multidrug resistant fungi spread around the world and new drugs are needed to overcome resistance.

But what does “innovation” mean in Infectious Diseases? Innovation means “appropriate and rational use” of diagnostic methods, antimicrobials, Big Data and maching learning finalized to develop updated knowledge for the modern treatment of Infectious Diseases.

These issues will be discussed with academicians, stakeholders, professionals and young researchers to share experiences and evidences and to have an unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful venue in the world: the ancient Venice!
